Job Description

Summary:

MSK is looking for an API Development Team Lead who can help build our API Infrastructure and Programs for a new company-wide initiative. This is a highly visible role that will span across our technology organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish and lead enterprise application architecture of our API Management program

  • Create and maintain a strategy, plan, and standards for the SDLC

  • Create and maintain our architecture application landscape

  • Provide expertise and consulting of any API-related projects within our delivery function, ranging from off-the-shelf to in-house developed applications

  • Review solution architecture documents and contribute to their improvement

  • Create new solution architectures that evolve the technology org's application landscape

  • Analyze information technology industry, market trends and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.

  • Analyze the IT environment to detect opportunities for improvement and propose strategies to achieve them

  • Research new application technologies, development, and delivery methods to optimize the current solutions and to make them sustainable for the future, applying in-house standards and market best practices

  • Promote methods and tools to achieve agile software development, continuous deployment, and fusion of development and operations

What You'll Need:

  • At least 5 years of practical experience in enterprise application architecture

  • Experience creating application architectures & logical design of applications

  • Experience with application integrations such as 3scale, Fuse, CA API Gateway (Layer7), ngInx etc.,

  • Experience using OAuth for protecting APIs and delivering APIs.

  • Ability to lead a technical team through the development of an API.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in teams and build strong business relationships

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Specifically the ability to translate/communicate technology recommendations to both technical and nontechnical team members.

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a STEM field
