The Principal Giving development team is seeking a strategic, creative and highly motivatedDevelopment Coordinatorto join our team. Working with guidance from the Director of Donor Engagement and Initiativesand the VP of Development,our Coordinator will provide general and advanced support of effective strategies for donor engagement and stewardship at the highest levels.
Assist in the Principal Giving team’s fundraising operations by supporting ongoing and new department projects.
Serve as a point of contact or communication with institutional leaders and members of the board regarding the projects assigned including events for donors at the highest level.
Manage complex calendars of department leader, department staff, and attendees including institutional leadership and board members, using independent judgment based on knowledge of priorities and resources.
Arrange for appropriate meeting space and set up given meeting/seminar requirements (e.g., food ordering, technology devices, etc.) and assist with and prepare/produce documents for meetings and donor events.
Operate autonomously, with discretion, in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Use internal software like COGNOS and ideally have experience in CRM
Make recommendations and improve on operational processes relevant to supporting the Principal Giving team.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
An outstanding communicator with superior writing skills, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communication based on that understanding.
Self-motivated and curious, the ideal candidate would succeed when working independently and as part of a team. Willing to act and eager to pursue new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving and complex circumstances.
Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others throughout the Institution to meet shared objectives and goals.
Bachelor’s degree preferred plus 2-4 years of experience. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, 4-6 years relevant experience can be accepted.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with superior skills in excel.
Strong prioritization, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Experience working with data
Strong independent judgment and critical thinking skills.
1-2 years of demonstrated project work strongly preferred.#LI-POST
