Job Description

The Office of Development is seeking aDevelopment Coordinator, Social Mediato join their dynamic team.

TheDevelopment Coordinator, Social Mediawill manage all aspects of social media for the Development office with a main focus on MSK’s Fundraising Events: Cycle for Survival, Fred’s Team, and Kids Walk for MSK Kids. This is an exciting time to join our team, which is rapidly innovating and expanding our events and communications strategy. TheDevelopment Coordinator, Social Mediawill work with colleagues at MSK and in Development marketing, communications, creative, and recruitment and fundraising teams to help meet goals, differentiate MSK as the world leader in cancer care and research, and continually strengthen and grow our outstanding communities.

You Will:

  • Manage all social media pages — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn — for MSK’s three Fundraising Events

  • Create social media content calendars and champion the day-to-day social media workflow of content ideation, creation, posting, and analysis

  • Lead online community management including social listening and engagement strategies

  • Develop and execute social media advertising plans

  • Monitor, report, and make ongoing recommendations to improve communications through data and insights

  • Collaborate with creative and communications teams to meet the programs’ recruitment and fundraising goals through compelling content

  • Support the Fundraising Events and Marketing & Communications team in various other projects as needed, e.g., influencer, video, sponsorship, website, marketing, and email

You Are:

  • A strategic thinker who enjoys unearthing insights from data

  • Detail oriented, very organized, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with enthusiasm and efficiency in a fast-paced environment

  • A skilled writer and content creator with a knack for adapting copy and tactics based on the audience, goals, program, tone, voice, and platform

  • Passionate about storytelling, proactive in sharing your ideas, and consistently challenging yourself

  • A positive, collaborative team player who takes significant pride in individual success, helping others, as well as the success of the team

  • Innovative and constantly curious about social media and content marketing trends, platforms, and best practices

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 2-4 years work experience in social media

  • Digital marketing and communications background

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Proven experience tailoring content for different platforms and audiences

  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Fundraising and development experience is a plus#LI-POST
