Planned Giving is seeking an innovativeDevelopment Officer. In collaboration with Associate Director, we will develop and implement a plan to secure gifts to MSK toward the goal of meeting fundraiser targets and to foster the long and short term growth of the Development program.
An organized self-starter, with strong multi-tasking, prioritizing and follow-through skills.
Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
Adept at tactfully navigating and maneuvering in large organizational hierarchy.
Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
Initiate and conduct personal meetings with prospects with the intention to establish a relationship that will result in a gift of at least $100K to $1M. Work in close collaboration with all teams to maximize gift potential.
Work closely with key faculty, clinicians, scientists and volunteers to identify gift opportunities, establish relationships with grateful patients and friends, and execute cultivation/solicitation strategies.
Coordinate activities when appropriate with donor stewardship, events, donor research, acknowledgment, and donor communications.
Other duties as assigned by Associate Director or Director.
Bachelor’s Degree with 4-7 years of relevant experience
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four years of job-related work experience can be accepted.
