Job Description

The Pharmacy Department is seeking an experienced Pharmacist avaible in May/early June to lead the Pharmacy Team at MSK's brand new Koch Center. The PharmacyManager will oversee the day-to-day activities and Pharmacy Services provided at the site. The Manager will ensure efficient and cost effective operations, quality service and regulatory compliance. The Manager will also represent the NassauPharmacy team as a liaison with other departments and will serve as the Pharmacist in Charge for the Infusion Pharmacy.

You Will:

  • Develop staffing schedules to assure adequate coverage at all times.

  • Coordinate time off and scheduling switches for all employees in assigned areas.

  • Review workflow and make recommendations on procedures to improve efficiency and respond to changes in work areas.

  • Monitor staff activities to ensure accurate, thorough completion of work required of each shift.

  • Review and enforce P&P and regulatory procedures.

  • Facilitate Human Resource activities including hiring, promotions, transfers, time-off management, other staff related inquires.

  • Liaison between the Pharmacy and Administrative/Nursing/Medical Leadership at the site.

  • Oversee training, orientation and competency assessment for new and current staff.

  • Monitor RISQ events and perform event reviews on selected cases.

  • Perform performance evaluations for direct reports.

Hours- 9-5, Monday-Friday.
